For buyers
Buying a home
A move is a big decision, and I would rather you make it with the reasoning out on the table than in a hurry. Here is how buying goes, stage by stage, and what I do at each one.

The process
How buying actually goes
Four stages, in the order they happen. I would rather explain each one honestly than promise how long it takes, so nothing here is a timeline.
Conversation
It all starts with a conversation. I listen to your needs: what you want, your timeline, whether you need a lender, and we discuss the best ways to stay in touch during the process. I send a questionnaire before we meet, so you arrive having already thought about the hard parts.
Search
A funnel, not a scavenger hunt. You build a shortlist and keep comparing against it, though a fast market does not always leave a shortlist standing. I go to see houses with you; if you would rather walk open houses on your own first, that works too. The ones you rule out teach you as much as the ones you like.
Prep
When a house is worth an offer, several things move at once: the paperwork, the inspection, and your lender’s part. I walk you through each piece before you sign it, and again afterwards if you want.
Keys
Closing, and then the keys. I am there for the signing, and for the questions that arrive after it.
How I work
How I guide you, and how I protect you
I like explaining things, and I will do it more than once. Ask the same question twice and you get a straight answer twice.
How I guide you
- What each document you are asked to sign actually says.
- What is in closing costs, and what is not.
- What an inspection can tell you, and what it cannot.
- Which questions belong with a lender, and what to ask them.
- What earnest money, contingencies and possession mean, before you meet them in an offer.
- What an online estimate is and is not. None of them has been inside your house.
- What happens next, at every stage, before it happens.
How I protect you
- The number you can spend comes from a lender, never from an agent. I will tell you which questions belong with them, and what to ask.
- You will never be pushed toward an offer you are not ready to make.
- You will never be made to feel that a question is too obvious to ask.
- You will never be given a guess for an answer. If I do not know, I say so and find out.
“I will never not be your advocate. Your goals and interests are top of mind at all times.”
